Additional Source 1 — overview and purpose

What AS1 represents

Additional Source 1 (AS1) documents as described in public marketing, product portfolio pages, blogs, and analyst solution profiles—not as reverse-engineered software. AS1 is a commercial supplier of digital OSS and BSS solutions, historically strong in communications service providers (CSPs) and large-scale telecom operations.

Why include a non-open product

Open-source references (Source A and Sources B–H) reflect downloadable designs. AS1 illustrates how enterprise telco vendors frame inventory, orchestration, and assurance when selling to operators at scale—useful for contrast (product packaging, commercial integrations, “active inventory” narrative) even without source access.

Stated corporate facts (public)

Relationship to Source A

Source A (see cleanroom/source-a/) targets network source of truth and automation in a single open product with plugins. AS1 targets operator-scale OSS/BSS where inventory, service inventory, and orchestration are marketed as integrated with billing, catalog, assurance, and partner ecosystems. The buyer, deployment model, and integration surface differ materially from a self-hosted NetBox-class tool.
